NOTE: If you are unfamiliar with the terms and requirements of Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships, read the introductory information under  "FLAS and other JSIS Fellowships" on the Sources of Financial Aid page first! 

These procedures require Adobe Acrobat Reader. To download this software free of charge, click  HERE. 

1. Using Acrobat Reader (version 6.0 for best results), download
• "Procedures and Guidelines" 
• "2008-2009 Fellowship Application" 
• the general fellowship reference form and
• the language reference form
 
2. The application may be filled out on screen before printing, or printed blank. Also print two copies of the general reference form, and one language reference form. (Multiple sets will be needed if you apply to more than one Center-see "Procedures and Guidelines.")
 
3. Mailing envelopes are not supplied. You should therefore proceed as follows: 
• Give your recommenders envelopes bearing your address to enable them to return the recommendations to you. 
• Mail all parts of your complete application together in one envelope to the Jackson School address below.
